- Start: municipal car park in Stans
- Destination: municipal car park in Stans
From the municipal car park in Stans, the route leads through the historic village center with the church, Arnold Winkelried monument, and the baroque Capuchin monasteries. Along the Engelbergeraa it goes to Oberdorf and up to the Ennerberg with the Loretto Chapel. From here, there is a first view over the lake and mountains.
A rapid descent leads towards Beckenried, where charming inns by the lake invite you for a break. Then it continues along Buochsertstrasse to "New Zealand," an artificially created peninsula that becomes a bathing hotspot in summer. Via the lakeside promenade of Buochs, the route leads past the beach bath and TCS camping back to the Engelbergeraa.
A highlight is the historic Fadenbrücke (1852), before it goes over the Allmend and past the Pilatus aircraft factories back to Stans. Finally, various restaurants in the village center invite you for a cozy conclusion – from the sun terrace to Gault-Millau cuisine.
