An ascent for sporty people starting from Hergiswil.

The Alpgschwänd panoramic cable car saves about 400 meters of elevation; the cable car is included in the calculation of hiking time and elevation. Then the mountain path rises towards Klimsensattel. Above us, the red large cabins float to Pilatus Kulm. Next to the renovated chapel, the Klimsenhorn hotel stood until the middle of the last century, built thirty years before the cogwheel railway to Pilatus was opened. We reach the Pilatus circular trail in many zigzags, and through the Chriesiloch it goes to the summit. The return journey with the cogwheel railway to Alpnachstad is enjoyable, with a refined finish at the Glasi-Restaurant Adler in Hergiswil.
