Great gravel route, which is also suitable for MTB. Hard to believe how lonely it gets once you have left Einsiedeln behind.

You don’t need to advertise the Sattelegg among passionate cyclists, it is considered a classic and is often and gladly ridden from both sides of the pass. However, the combination proposed here with the Sihlsee panoramic route can certainly be considered a secret tip. The scenically beautiful ride, except for short sections, takes place on low-traffic roads. The ride over the Klosterplatz Einsiedeln – with or without a coffee stop – as well as the panoramic view from the Sattelegg are highlights of this varied bike ride. But the low-traffic areas towards Wäni and Egg also have their charm. Well-conditioned gravel bikers include the Hummel panoramic route, which can also be skipped.
