The "Gloria-Trail Lutersee" adventure trail leads from Gütsch to the Platte below the Schneehühnerstock (or in the opposite direction) and offers a variety of interactive elements on the subject of the environment and Alpine animals. Fun for young and old!

Gloria is a young and lively chamois. She lives with her family and friends in the Urschner mountains. On the hiking trail from Gütsch to Platte you will learn and experience many exciting things about Gloria's life and the local nature. What do chamois eat? Can you recognize different alpine animals by the sounds they make? How does rain form?

The adventure trail comprises eight stations along the hiking trail from Gütsch to Platte. There's lots to discover for young and old alike - a large wooden memory with native plants and herbs, a telescope to examine the glaciers, a giant swing and a sound instrument are just some of the elements that form part of the adventure trail. The path is wide and well-built and therefore very suitable for children. Along the way, a stop at Lake Luter is recommended for a breather and to cool off in the refreshing mountain water. Throughout the hike, you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding mountain scenery.

Directions & Parking facilities

Andermatt is easily accessible from all four points of the compass in summer, making it a pleasant starting point.

There are various options for parking:

  • In Andermatt directly behind the station.
  • On the Nätschen right next to the station.
  • On the Oberalp Pass directly at the top of the pass.

We recommend traveling by train to Andermatt, Nätschen or to the Oberalp Pass. From Andermatt (valley station) and Nätschen (middle station), the "Gütsch-Express" gondola lift takes you to the Gütsch mountain station, from where you can start the adventure trail. Alternatively, you can take the train to the Oberalp Pass and then take the "Schneehüenerstock-Express" gondola to the "Platte" middle station. The round trip ticket from the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis mountain railroads includes both gondola lifts and the train from Andermatt-Oberalppass.

Additional information

Due to the higher altitude, the trail is accessible from the beginning of July until around the end of October. The round trip ticket for the Andermat-Sedrun-Disentis mountain railroads is ideal for this excursion.
