Theme trail

The adventure path "Gloria-Trail Lutersee" leads from Gütsch to Platte below Schneehünerstock (or in the opposite direction) and offers varied interactive elements on the theme of the environment and alpine animals. Fun for young and old!

Gloria is a young and lively chamois. She lives with her family and friends in the Urschner mountains. On the hiking path from Gütsch to Platte, you will experience and learn a lot of exciting things about Gloria's life and the local nature. What do chamois eat? Can you recognize different alpine animals by their sounds? How does rain form?

The adventure path includes eight stations distributed along the path from Gütsch to Platte. There is a lot to discover for young and older children - a large wooden memory game with native plants and herbs, a telescope to observe the glaciers, a giant swing or a sound instrument are just some of the elements that are part of the adventure path. The path is wide and well developed and therefore very suitable for children. A stop at Lutersee for a break and cooling in the refreshing mountain water is recommended along the way. Throughout the hike, you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding mountain scenery.

Directions & Parking facilities

Andermatt is very well accessible from all four cardinal directions in summer and is therefore a pleasant starting point.

There are various parking options:

  • In Andermatt directly behind the train station.
  • At Nätschen directly at the train station.
  • At Oberalppass directly at the pass height.

Travel by train to Andermatt, Nätschen or to the Oberalppass is recommended. From Andermatt (valley station) and Nätschen (mid-station), the "Gütsch-Express" gondola leads to the Gütsch mountain station, from where the adventure path can be started. Alternatively, you take the train to Oberalppass and then take the gondola of the "Schneehüenerstock-Express" to the mid-station "Platte". The round-trip ticket from the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis mountain railways includes both gondolas as well as the train from Andermatt-Oberalppass.

Additional information

Due to the higher location, the path is walkable from early July until about the end of October. The round-trip ticket from the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis mountain railways is ideal for this excursion.
