- Start: Göschenen train station
- Destination: Andermatt train station
The hike starts at the SBB sidings at Steglaui in Göschenen. The trail initially leads through the forest and then over gravel and stone slabs. At the highest point of the hike is the mountain station of the army cable car, where hikers can enjoy a wonderful view of the Göschenen and Ursern valleys. From there it continues past the wind park to the Gütsch. On the Gütsch you have, besides the views of the Göschenen Alp and Ursern valley, also a fantastic view towards Oberalp and the Unteralp valley. From the Gütsch you can then either go down on foot or take the cable car down to Andermatt and from there continue by train to Göschenen or walk back the same way to Göschenen.
