The tranquility of nature and pure winter fun await all snowshoe enthusiasts at Fürenalp. From Engelberg station, the free local bus takes you to the Fürenalp valley station. Here, you can also rent snowshoes and ski poles if needed. The small aerial cableway takes you to Fürenalp, the starting point of the snowshoe tour. It starts right at the mountain station, slightly downhill under the cable car and along the ridge. This section offers a magnificent view of the Spannörter peaks, which with their towering points, resemble the Dolomites. Be sure to have your camera ready and absorb the silence of nature. After about 2 kilometers, the trail briefly ascends, but once the elevation is reached, you have completed half the distance and can return easily downhill to the starting point. The view on this side is equally beautiful, as you are hiking towards the Titlis. From here, its impressive glacier is best admired. Upon arrival at the mountain restaurant, the cozy lounge invites you to warm up and indulge. The nostalgic little train takes you back down to the valley afterwards.
