Off the well-trodden paths, you explore the idyllic south side of Rigi. The descent and ascent are somewhat steep, but you will experience Rigi from a completely new perspective. The biodiversity in this area will delight you. From Obergschwend to Breitebnet, you will be watched by funny dwarfs. More information about the Zwärgliweg Rigi Burggeist can be found here.
Notes
You can also start the hike alternatively in Obergschwend, above Gersau.
The hike can be shortened with the Obergschwend-Rigi Burggeist cable car. You can find the current operating status of the cable cars and hiking trails here.
So that future generations can also enjoy the Queen of the Mountains, please dispose of your waste at the stations of the Rigi Bahn. Thank you.
