The beautiful circular hike starts at the mountain station of the aerial cableway Illgau-Ried. The path leads through the village, past the listed and cozy Sigristenhaus restaurant and the village shop. With the aerial cableway Illgau-St. Karl, it’s a leisurely ride to the St. Karl playground with a large playground and barbecue area. The hike continues via Gründel into the beautiful Fallenfluh forest up to Fallenfluhkänzeli, the wonderful viewpoint with barbecue area. The breathtaking view of the Schwyz valley basin makes hearts beat faster. Via the large Balmli forest playground with barbecue area, it goes back to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities
By car on the A4 to the Schwyz exit, then towards Muotathal to the valley station of the aerial cableway Ried-Illgau or by car towards Muotathal to after the valley station of the funicular follow the signs to Illgau.
Parking is available at the valley station of the aerial cableway Ried-Illgau.
Parking is also available at the church in Illgau.
From Schwyz station take bus line 1 to the stop Ried (Muotathal), cable car Illgau. Then take the aerial cableway Illgau–Ried to the village of Illgau.
