Besides the wild nature at and around Kernalp Lake, you will experience exciting rides with various small cable cars on this route.

The path starts at the Bielenbahn valley station and follows the Engelbergeraa to the Diegisbalm cable car. With the two Buiräbähnlis, you can comfortably ascend to the Oberalp. From there, the hiking trail leads through alpine pastures and forests in wild nature up to Kernalp. At Kernalp Lake, a beautiful picnic spot awaits where you can rest and recharge. The highest point with a summit cross offers a wonderful view of the Engelberg valley. On the partly steep descent down to the Bielenbahn mountain station, a waterfall, a barbecue hut, and beautiful flower meadows await you.

Getting there
Take the A2 exit Stans Süd. Cantonal road towards Engelberg. Turn right in Grafenort at the signpost for Bielenbahn. After the bridge, the parking lot at the Bielenbahn valley station can be found.
