From Klewenalp, go towards Tannibüel and further to the alpine hut Stafel (signpost). Here follow the red-white or yellow marked trail towards Brisenhaus. Pass the Alp Buel or Kreuzhütte towards Scheidegg-Grätli and then on to Brisenhaus. From Brisenhaus, it goes downhill through the two alpine pastures Morschfeld and Brändlisboden. On a slight descent, continue past the rest area by the water reservoir until you reach the mountain station Niederrickenbach.
This hike is also possible in the reverse direction.

Motorway A2 (Basel-Chiasso-Italy), 2 exits for Beckenried:
- Exit Buochs/Beckenried or
- Exit Beckenried/Emmetten.
Beckenried is about 20 km south of Lucerne.
ParkingParking directly at the valley station of the Klewenalp cable car for CHF 5.-/day.Public transportationBy SBB to Lucerne, change there and take the Zentralbahn to Stans, change there and take the bus to Beckenried.
