Lourdes Grotto

A beautiful old "alley" leads from the main street to the Lourdes Grotto, which was atmospherically built into the rubble of a prehistoric mountain collapse in 1919. 

The hike starts in the village of Muotathal "Schachen." Then continues from Wichel to the Widmen football field. From there it goes on to the Lourdes Grotto. Return to the main road towards Schachen.

By car on the A4 to the Schwyz exit, then towards Muotathal into the village of Muotathal.

Parking is available in the village of Muotathal.

By train to Schwyz-Seewen station, then by bus (line 501 Schwyz - Muotathal) to the Muotathal Post bus stop.
