The loop to Tannalp leads through magnificent winter landscapes. Two picturesque chapels line the edge of the path between Melchsee-Frutt and Tannalp.

From the Melchsee-Frutt mountain station, the hiking trail leads in the direction of Tannalp. After the idyllic Frutt village to the panorama lift, you walk along the frozen Melchsee lake. At the end of the lake, the cross-country ski trail branches off to the left. Shortly afterwards, before the small bridge, the winter hiking trails branch off. Here you take the newly created direct path uphill. The path crosses under the Distelboden - Bonistock aerial tramway and leads parallel to the rocks to the Tannendamm. There the paths meet again. The last section leads along the frozen Tannensee lake and then downhill to Tannalp, which lies in a sheltered hollow.

The turning point of the tour is at the Tannalp mountain inn. Here you have earned a break with refreshments. The route then follows the same route back to Melchsee-Frutt, whereby a loop from Tannendamm via Distelboden to Frutt is worthwhile.
