Niederbauen - Schönenbühel snowshoe tour
From Emmetten, take the aerial cableway to Niederbauen. We take the path to the left. After about 200 meters, it goes right down via Hohfad and Unterst Hütte to Schönenbühel. There we return back to Unterst Hütte. On the way back to the mountain station we first take the path towards Tritt and then turn left. At the mountain station there is a coffee available at the Niederbauen mountain inn with a fantastic view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps.

- Getting there
Take the A2 motorway Lucerne-Gotthard, exit Seelisberg/Emmetten/Beckenried and drive towards Emmetten.
ParkingPaid parking spaces are available in Emmetten at the valley station of the Emmetten-Stockhütte gondola. From there, the valley station of the Emmetten-Niederbauen aerial cableway is 300 meters (about 5 minutes) away.
Public transportationThe Emmetten, Post stop from Stans is easily accessible by postal bus. The Emmetten-Niederbauen aerial cableway is 300 meters (about 5 minutes) away from the bus station.
