Equipped with good footwear, the path begins at the cross on the forest edge and leads through the church forest. Climb the Chatzenstrick lightly like a cat! Less brave hikers hold on to the fixed ropes. To get from Zinglen to Hinter Oberberg, ropes and ladders are again installed at exposed spots. This section of the trail was formerly the shortest connection from Hinter Oberberg to Muotathal, and young lads used this path to go "to the village." When you reach the Tritt signpost, it's worth waiting with your picnic and taking the short path down to the Trittchänzeli. A comfortable bench and an unexpected view of the Muotathal mountains invite you to linger there. From here, the marked path leads to the idyllic mountain village of Illgau. Chamois often graze in the Bergli. Above the village center, a signpost on the road points towards Muotathal. The "old church path," which was restored a few years ago by retired hiking enthusiasts, leads steeply downhill through a wild romantic forest past a waterfall. At the Vita Parcours in Tristel, a generously built fire pit awaits you on the shore of the Muota. Via the Vita Parcours, the starting point Wil can be reached in a short time.
