Path of Creation, stages 1 and 2

The Path of Creation is a spiritual hiking route in three stages. The varied landscape constantly inspires awe of nature. Those walking here seek reflection and simplicity.

Part 1a:

From Morschach-Mattli the route climbs about 100 meters to the Schwyzerhöchi, then gently descends to Oberschönenbuch. Hikers then follow the flat natural road to Schlattli (Pt. 569) and climb up the opposite valley side to Uf Ibrig. After the ascent there is a pleasant intermediate section along the Ober Gibel. Through the marsh area Chaisten the mountain path reaches the Handgruebi, where the last part over the Gründel leads to the stage end St. Karl (Pt. 1165).

Part 1b:

From the Hildegardhotel St. Karl at 1165 meters above sea level, the mountain path steadily descends the sunny southern slope towards Illgau and from there along the old Fluh path down into the valley of the Muota (Pt. 582). After a short section on pavement, the path branches off towards Wigetli/Tristel and follows the rushing Muota to the Wil district. From afar, the stage destination Monastery St. Josef can already be seen.
