Path of Creation, 3rd stage

The Path of Creation is a spiritual hiking trail in three stages. The varied landscape continually inspires awe at nature. Those who walk here seek reflection and simplicity.

The third stage leads from the St. Josef Monastery in Muotathal to the Antoniushaus Mattli in Morschach. Mostly hiking and mountain paths, only rarely must you walk on paved roads. Alpine pastures, forest areas, flower meadows, and valley crossings alternate. You move simply on foot through this rich, pristine landscape. On the third stage, you also pass oak pillars with contemplative texts that invite short meditation. The first ten kilometers are mainly uphill, sometimes steep. At the beginning, the sound of the Muota accompanies you; later it follows the deep gorge of the Hüribach. Over the Wannentritt and various alpine pastures, you reach the holiday resort of Stoos. Along the way, the eye enjoys the view into the valley towards the winding Muota and the view of the Grossen Mythen. From Stoos, it's only a few kilometers on a bright forest path to the Antoniushaus Mattli in Morschach. This is situated in a wonderful location and is dedicated to Franciscan spirituality.
