- Destination: Rigi Kaltbad
Visit the charming rock chapel located at the starting point of this easy walk. From a rock crevice flows the Kaltbad spring, which attracted tourists as early as the 16th century. It was the first and austere form of wellness offerings, which lives on today in the modern mineral baths and spa designed by star architect Mario Botta. The flat path leads through cozy forest areas, past interesting rock formations, to the magnificent Känzeli viewpoint. There you will be treated to a fantastic panoramic view of the cross-shaped basin of Lake Lucerne, Lucerne itself, and the crowning panorama of the Alps. In 1868, Queen Victoria of England visited this place and recorded her enthusiasm in her diary.
