- Start: Giswil railroad station
- Destination: Giswil railroad station
From Giswil railroad station, this circular hike leads to the Laui dam, along the top of the dam to the wooden bridge and on along the helper's path to Geri. Cross the road at Altibach and climb along the forest road and the Altibach with its many obstructions. A detour up to the waterfall is worthwhile. A tunnel was dug here in 1923 to bypass the waterfall with the Flossholz. The path continues quite steeply over a bridge to the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. This chapel was built in 1522 as a reminder of an outrage in 1492, when the tabernacle containing the host was stolen from the parish church in Lungern and dumped here. This old place of pilgrimage in the middle of the forest is a place of power, the spring under the chapel is refreshing and promises healing for many ailments. Via Schintenflue and Emmetti, the route descends gently to Bürglen and Kaiserstuhl on Lake Lungern. From there, you walk partly along the old Brünig road through the peaceful beech forest down to the Aaried plain and back to Giswil railroad station.
