The ski tour starts in Realp and initially follows the Furka Pass Road for the most part. The route steadily gains elevation through several hairpin turns until it reaches the former Hotel Galenstock. There, the route leaves the pass road and branches off to the right toward Tätsch.
From Tätsch, the ascent continues along the summer hiking trail through open terrain. As you gain altitude, the view opens up to the surrounding mountains and the Furka region.
A more challenging variant leads directly from Tätsch over the Ochsenalp and then continues upward along the “Auf den Stöcken” ridge. This route is steeper and therefore requires safe conditions as well as careful route selection.
For the descent, you can take the same route back to Realp. Alternatively, depending on snow and avalanche conditions, you can also descend via Tiefenbach.
