Stotzigen Ridge
The ski tour from Realp to the Stotzigen Firsten is one of the classic tours in the Gotthard region. The broad northeast shoulder often offers good snow conditions, making the tour a popular destination for ski tourers.
The tour starts in Realp. From there, the route initially follows Witenwasserenstrasse. Shortly before Mittglischgaden, it branches off to the right and continues along the summer hiking trail. At “Auf den Böden,” the actual ascent to the Stotzigen Firsten begins. The tour’s destination lies on the ridge at 2,747 m above sea level and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
The route is relatively unexposed. Nevertheless, current snow and avalanche conditions must always be taken into account when planning the tour.
The descent follows the same route back to Realp.

- Getting there
The starting point in Realp is easily accessible by car from Andermatt or via the Furka car ferry.
ParkingDaytime parking is available outside the village (near MGB / Grotto Stella d'Oro) and in the village square. These spaces are available for a fee between 6:00 a.m. and midnight. For more information, please contact the Realp municipal office.Public transportationRealp, the starting point, is easily accessible via the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway.
