Directions

The Seven Chapels Route starts at the monastery square by Einsiedeln Monastery. From there, the route leads via Luegetenstrasse to Restaurant Burg. Here you turn right towards the Benedictine convent Au. Then continue via Chlöschterliweg and Fabrikstrasse to St. Joseph's Chapel.

Next, follow the Alp river to the bridge near the train station and take Spitalstrasse to the Evangelical Reformed Church. After a short stretch along the station, continue via Schmiedenstrasse up to the Youth Church St. Wolfgang.

From there the route leads to St. Gangulf's Chapel on Etzelstrasse. Via a short country path, you reach Birchlistrasse, where you find the cemetery chapel of St. Benedict.

The last section goes along the picturesque path behind the monastery, past the Marställen and the Abteihof, and finally ends at the Mercy Chapel in the Benedictine monastery church.

From Biberbrugg, take the main road towards Einsiedeln. At the junction towards Ybrig, follow the bypass and then turn off towards Einsiedeln. The Brüel parking garage is located at Birchlistrasse 3, 8840 Einsiedeln.

Parking options at the "Brüel" parking garage, reachable within less than 5 minutes from the starting point. The parking garage is open daily from 05:00 to 01:00. The first hour costs CHF 2.00, each additional hour CHF 1.00. Maximum vehicle height: 2.20 m.

From Einsiedeln train station, you can reach the monastery square in a few minutes on foot. There is a postal bus route from the station; please check the timetables.
