The Way of the Cross is a pleasant walking path up to Meinradsberg in Einsiedeln. The themed route includes 12 stations up to the top.

The Way of the Cross was created between 1930-1939 and is a work of the Einsiedeln sculptor Alois Payer (1878-1960). It begins at the southeasternmost point of the monastery square, follows the Johannisbach stream, and ascends to St. Meinrad, where the imposing crucifixion group was erected as the twelfth station.
