The Way of the Cross is a pleasant walking path up to Meinradsberg in Einsiedeln. The themed route includes 12 stations up to the top.

The Way of the Cross was created between 1930-1939 and is a work of the Einsiedeln sculptor Alois Payer (1878-1960). It begins at the southeasternmost point of the monastery square, follows the Johannisbach stream, and ascends to St. Meinrad, where the imposing crucifixion group was erected as the twelfth station.

Take exit no. 39 (Schindellegi) from the A3 motorway from Chur or no. 37 (Richterswil) from Zurich.
From Lucerne, Zug, Schwyz, Gotthard to Schwyz and on canton road no. 8 via Sattel - Rothenthurm - Biberbrugg to Einsiedeln.
