Hike

The hike starts at the Gitschen mountain station in Riemenstalden. Riemenstalden is the smallest village in the canton of Schwyz. From there it is about three quarters of an hour on foot to the lake. With a fishing license from the canton of Uri, fishing is also allowed in the lake. It is picturesquely located in a hollow surrounded by several mountain peaks, offering a fantastic backdrop for day hikers and those seeking relaxation. Upon arrival at Spilauersee, you can stop at the Alpe Spilau. In a beautiful landscape at about 1900m, you can take a break and enjoy the mountain air. On the way back, you can hike freedom via Riemanstalden.
