The route is ideal as a short after-work round or if you don't have much time otherwise. It offers great views of Central Switzerland; nearby stands the Landessender Beromünster, which ceased operation at the end of 2008 but still dominates the landscape. The round is technically not very demanding but still offers some nice downhill sections.

Directions
From Menziken train station, you reach the bike path to Beromünster, which you follow to Winon, then turn right uphill to Gunzwil. From here, you follow part of route 599 to Saffental. At Amrein Strassenbau, cross the road and ride steeply uphill, then continue uphill to the left. From there, through the forest uphill to the antenna where the singletrail begins. Now you always ride along the ridge, down to the forest hut, briefly uphill again and then down to point 795. From there continue on the forest road. Turn right at Pfaffehölzli and descend steeply to Rickenbach. From there via Niederwil to Burg and Menziken.
