Over the hills around Lake Baldegg you will find beautiful paths. The route does not lead to the lake itself, but it shows the beauty of the lake valley.

The starting point is Beinwil am See. From there we ride over Sonnenberg to Schwarzenbach and further through Erlosenwald. A break is due at Vogelmoos, such a beautiful gem to just ride past. After leaving the forest behind, we ride towards Römerswil but stay outside the village on forest and field paths. The ride now speeds downhill to Huwil, then continues into the industrial district of Hochdorf. In Ronfeld you can do some great bird watching behind the hide. At Baldegg monastery we ride uphill and continue on a side road to Ferren and uphill below Heidegg castle, which we can also visit on the spot. On the signposted bike route, first on 84, then on 56, we ride to Mosen. From there we continue on the left side of Lake Hallwil, noting the bike path markings. At the end there is once more a short but demanding climb to the train station.

Directions

From Beinwil, follow the bike path to the highest point, then turn left and continue straight up into the forest, through it to the hamlet of Lüsch and further to Schwarzenbach. From there continue towards Erlosen, turn left at the Bromen farm, then right at the next street. Circumvent Römerswil generously on forest and field paths. At Sagen, descend on the forest road to Huwil, then continue straight to Hochdorf. On the industrial road to the Baldegg monastery, then uphill to Kleinwangenstrasse. Continue to Ferren, keeping straight to Rohrmatt, then turn right uphill, in the forest after the forest hut immediately left and continue to below the castle. From there follow bike routes 84 and 56 to Riedmatt near Mosen, then left, then turn right at the cantonal road in Mosen. Follow the cantonal road to Pt. 464, then enter the forest and on the road to Beinwil Vorstatt, here steeply uphill to the train station.
