Discover the unspoiled neighborhoods and hamlets in the peaceful surroundings of Triengen. On your hike, you’ll encounter forests, streams, and meadows teeming with diverse flora and fauna.

Four marked observation decks offer magnificent views. Enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings, whether hiking uphill to the highest point in the “Sämirain” area at 835 meters above sea level, or along the Sure River in the valley floor at 500 meters above sea level. The trail is well-marked, and you can choose to hike shorter sections.

Several bus stops in Triengen will take you back to the starting point or to train connections in the Surental valley to Sursee or Schöftland. Taking breaks on benches and visiting farm stands make the hike even more enjoyable. Signs and information about points of interest off the trail are available.

Directions

The Fusionsweg trail begins on Moosgassstrasse in Triengen and follows a scenic loop along the municipal border through the districts of Triengen, Winikon, Wilihof, and Kulmerau. Along the way, you’ll encounter idyllic forests, streams, meadows, and four scenic overlooks. The trail is clearly marked throughout and can also be broken down into shorter sections, eventually leading back to the starting point.

Getting there

You can easily reach Triengen via the cantonal roads from Sursee, Schöftland, or Lucerne. The starting point of the Fusionsweg trail is located at the underpass on Moosgassstrasse and is well signposted in the village.

Parking

There are several public parking lots available in Triengen. We recommend the parking lots on Kirchgasse in the village center or the public parking lot on Steinbärenstrasse, from which the starting point of the Fusionsweg is just a few minutes’ walk away.
