The circular path around Trübsee is ideal for everyone who wants to go at a leisurely pace – whether with a stroller, little explorers, or just to enjoy quietly. On the well-maintained path, you will find a breathtaking backdrop with views of the mountain and the lake.
Our tip: Pack some cervelat sausages or bratwursts! Around the lake, idyllic fire pits invite you to grill in the middle of nature – perfect enjoyment with an Alpine panorama included.

Directions
- With the Titlis Xpress, you go from Engelberg up to the Berghotel Trübsee, where the easy hike starts. The path leads past the zip line and downhill to Trübsee. Then the whole path goes once around the lake, which is filled with emerald-green glacier water.

- Getting there
By car, take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then on the main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich, or Bern.
ParkingParking is available at the Titlis cable cars for a fee.
Public transportationNational and international connections (from Zurich Airport with services every half hour, approximately 1 hour travel time) to Lucerne. Then with the Zentralbahn in 43 minutes through varied landscapes and gorges up to Engelberg.
