Discover the diverse character of the Uri holiday region: from the island world on Lake Uri, through the Mediterranean-flavored spot Altdorf, the home of Tell, to breathtaking viewing terraces.

From Altdorf station, head north to Wild Ried, and then west on a country path to Unterdorf. Besides visiting the picturesque Schloss A Pro and its mineral exhibition, an additional loop to Lake Uri is recommended. The Lorelei swimming islands provide a cool down with a Caribbean feel.
Drive through the Bodenwald forest above Seedorf, passing through an attractive recreational area to Attinghausen. Upon reaching Schattdorf, overcome the first steep climb through the Bannwald Schattdorf. After a short descent, you arrive in Bürglen, the home of our national hero Wilhelm Tell. Through the cooling Spiss Tunnel, reach the sunny terrace of Bürglen at the Bittleten homestead, which is also the highest point of your route. Afterwards, branch off into the Altdorfer Bannwald and enjoy the magnificent view over the Uri valley floor at the Nussbäumli restaurant. Until Gruonbach in Flüelen, climbs and descents alternate continuously. Now cycle back to the starting point via roads and country paths.
