Urigen - Ratzi
After the ride with the post bus from Altdorf or Spiringen to Urigen, most people quickly stop by the venerable inn Urigen. Refreshed, we hike leisurely downhill to the Getschwiliger Chapel. A look inside the chapel is worthwhile. A short descent leads us to Balderig, a sparse mountain homestead. From here, a comfortable ascent begins. We soon reach the hamlet Kipfen with the mid-station of the Spiringen-Kipfen-Tristel cable car. Along the road, we pass various mountain farms until we arrive at Fuhr. There, a bench with a cross invites us to sit down and enjoy the view. It is not uncommon to find a local sitting here, watching nature with binoculars. The last climb takes us to Ratzi. Here, we can relax and refresh ourselves. With the cable car, we easily return to Spiringen.

- From Urigen, we start towards Wiler Chapel, descend to the homestead Balderig and then climb again to the hamlet Kipfen. Passing by the little homesteads Husen and Meinzig, we cross the Butzli and are rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view at the high plateau of Fuhr. From here, it is only ten minutes to Ratzi.
