Discover the total of 50 km of trails in classic and skating style on the Marbach-Escholzmatt-Bumbach trail network and enjoy the incomparable view. The Marbach village loop trail leads back to the village over 3 km. The home mountain Schrattenfluh with the distinctive Schibengütsch is always in sight. The village trail Marbach is ideal for beginners and advanced skiers and runs directly next to the village of Marbach.
For athletes skiing after dark, the trail is illuminated daily from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

With all passes and tickets for the cross-country skiing trail, you can use the PostBus route Escholzmatt-Kemmeriboden free of charge during the winter season! There are 15 PostBus stops along the trail.

The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch lies in the heart of Switzerland, centrally located between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Marbach via main road 10 towards Wiggen (Escholzmatt) and from there to Marbach. From Thun, you can get to Marbach via the Schallenberg.

A free parking lot is available at the Marbachegg ski lifts or in the village.
You can reach Marbach by public transport via Escholzmatt (Bern-Lucerne railway line). From Escholzmatt, take the PostBus to Marbach "Dorf". With all cross-country passes and tickets, you can travel free of charge on the PostBus route Escholzmatt–Kemmeriboden during the winter season.

Safety guidelines
- Use only the marked trail and follow the signposts.
- Behave considerately towards other trail users and the landscape.
- Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong in winter, even in cloudy weather.
- Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.
