Immensee – Küssnacht am Rigi – Greppen - Weggis

Waldstätterweg? Not quite. We recommend a different, more scenic route from Immensee to Greppen. Only then is the Waldstätterweg truly beautiful.

More and more certain tree species begin to bloom already in April. Especially beautiful is then a stroll from Immensee to Weggis – not along the lake, but slightly elevated, where the standard fruit trees stand. Our route goes through there, past the castle ruins Gesslerburg and the rope park at Rotenhof. After Greppen, the route then follows the Waldstätterweg beautifully via Herrenwald and Eggisbühl to Weggis.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The castle ruins Gesslerburg are a natural adventure playground with a barbecue area – the rope park is then a full-day program in itself. Especially romantic: relaxing at Haldihof after Greppen.
