Zell - Luthern
From Zell train station, first follow the road through the gravel plant to the Oberwil junction (signpost) towards Luthern. From there the route goes over meadows and through forests to St. Jakob's Chapel on Bösegg. Continuing towards Chruzstiegen, after the short climb behind the chapel, you enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from the hill. The varied path then runs along the ridge up to Chruzstiegen, a small pass between Hergiswil and the Luthertal. From here the path climbs again to the highest point of the hike at 915m on the "Churzhubelegg" with a nice resting place with a fireplace. The last short section leads down with a beautiful view of the destination Luthern.
