Obwalden

Obwalden is the geographic center (Älggialp) of Switzerland. It is thus very centrally located and well connected by transportation. This “original canton” captivates visitors with its varied and diverse landscape. In the valley, Lake Sarnen and Lake Lungern glisten, surrounded by mountains and forests. The region’s well-known tourist destinations include Engelberg-Titlis, Melchsee-Frutt, and Mount Pilatus. Pilgrims travel along the Way of St. James to Flüeli-Ranft to visit the birthplace of St. Brother Klaus.
