Discover the diverse character of the Uri holiday region: from the island world on Lake Uri, through the Mediterranean-influenced spot Altdorf, the home of Tell, to breathtaking viewing terraces.

From Altdorf station, head north to Wild Ried and then west on a field path to Unterdorf. Besides visiting the picturesque A Pro castle and its mineral exhibition, an additional loop to Lake Uri is recommended. The bathing islands Lorelei provide a refreshing Caribbean feeling. Through the Bodenwald above Seedorf, you cycle through an attractive local recreation area to Attinghausen. Upon arrival in Schattdorf, the first steep climb through the Bannwald Schattdorf must be overcome. After a short descent, you reach Bürglen, the hometown of our national hero Wilhelm Tell. A visit to the Tell Museum is definitely worthwhile. Through the cooling Spiss Tunnel, you reach the sunny terrace of Bürglen and the Bittleten estate, which is also the highest point of your route. Then you branch off into the Altdorf Bannwald and enjoy the wonderful view over the Uri valley floor at the Nussbäumli restaurant. Up to the Gruonbach in Flüelen, climbs and descents alternate continuously. Now you roll back to the starting point via roads and field paths.
