A short route unmatched in its diversity, but with great views.

The Bonistock route is unmatched in its diversity. You can smell the scent of the unique alpine flora, admire bizarre rock formations and impressive scarp fields - a paradise "not only" for geologists and biologists.

It starts at the "old mountain station" in Frutt-Dörfli. The path briefly follows the road up to the Hotel frutt Lodge & Spa and then changes behind the imposing building onto the hiking trail towards Bonistock. The path to Bonistock is unmatched in its diversity. You can smell the scent of the unique alpine flora, admire bizarre rock formations and impressive scarp fields - a paradise "not only" for geologists and biologists.

Once you arrive at Bonistock, you enjoy the unique panoramic view over Central Switzerland all the way to the border with Germany and the impressive mountain peaks of the Bernese Alps. Then you continue along the ridge to Chringen and below the wall back to Frutt-Dörfli.

Directions & Parking facilities

Travel to Stöckalp is possible by private car or by bus number 343 from Sarnen. From Stöckalp, the gondola runs. It is also possible to drive by private car (paid) up to Melchsee-Frutt (ascents at even hours, e.g. 8, 10, 12 o'clock etc. / descents at odd hours, e.g. 9, 11, 13 o'clock etc.).
