Brunni - Grosse Mythen

The two Mythen majestically tower over the town of Schwyz and from the rear side over the Alpthal. With the Holzegg aerial cableway, you can get from Brunni/Alpthal to the starting point: Holzegg at the foot of the Grosse Mythen. Here begins the entry to the Mythen mountain path. Therefore, the place is ideal for a last break (fireplace, Holzegg restaurant). The ascent to the Grosse Mythen is relatively steep and should be approached with good footwear. Caution is advised in wet weather. The slippery stones can be very dangerous. The ascent opens up a wonderful panoramic view. Once on the summit, all efforts are forgotten. A breathtaking panoramic view of the Alpine mountain peaks, the Schwyz valley basin, the Central Swiss lakes and the expanse of the Swiss plateau will leave you amazed. Between April and November, the summit restaurant is open daily in nice weather (when the Swiss flag is hoisted).
