Start your trip with a gondola ride from Rickenbach to Rotenflue. Upon arrival at the mountain station, hike on a well-developed trail - always with a unique view of the Schwyz, Uri, Muota valleys Alps as well as Lake Lucerne to the Ibergeregg pass height and further to the St. Karl mountain station above Illgau. At the end, enjoy the cable car again to the idyllic mountain village of Illgau and finally to Ried-Muotathal. Return to the starting point in Schwyz or Rickenbach by bus of Auto AG Schwyz.
The hike is also highly recommended in the reverse direction.

Drive on the A4 motorway to the Seewen/Schwyz exit. From there, you reach Rickenbach at the valley station of the Rotenflue cable car or the Ibergeregg via Schwyz.
From Zurich, you reach the Mythen region via the A3 motorway to the Einsiedeln exit. From Einsiedeln, continue to Brunni-Alpthal.
ParkingThe parking lots in Brunni-Alpthal, Ibergeregg, Handgruobi and at the valley station of the Rotenflue cable car all require a fee.Public transportationLocated in the heart of Central Switzerland, directly on the north-south axis, the Mythen region is quickly accessible from all directions, both by car and by train. From Zurich in about 45 minutes and from Lucerne or Zug in only 30 minutes. Additional information
