This route leads up and down from Wynen to the Seetal, past Beromünster and downhill towards Lucerne, then over the heights west of Lake Sempach and through the Suhre valley back to Aarau.

After starting in Aarau, the route goes via Teufenthal and Leutwil from Wynen to the Seetal to Beinwil am See. From here it goes uphill over Herlisberg, past Beromünster and downhill towards Lucerne. Shortly before Rothenburg, the A2 is crossed and via Neuenkirch the heights west of Lake Sempach are climbed. Finally, it goes over Buttisholz, Grosswangen and Mauensee and on side roads in the Suhre valley back to Aarau.

Directions & Parking facilities

Choose your preferred means of transport to Aarau and then head directly to the old town of Aarau.

Aarau has a parking guidance system. For this route, the Flösserplatz parking garage, the Casino, Kasernen or station parking lots, as well as the Obere Schanz parking lot, are well located.

By racing bike, the old town of Aarau is reachable from the station in about five minutes.

It is recommended to stop at the bistro in the green area of Golfclub Rastenmoos in Neuenkirch. Further along, there are nice campfires that invite you to take a break.
