- Start: Alpnach Train Station
- Destination: Village or Alpnach Train Station
The starting point is the charming Alpnach.
Right at the beginning, you cross the Kleine Schliere bridge and continue towards Grunderberg. At Grunderberg, the paved ascent towards Lütholdsmatt begins. By the latest, the view over Lake Lucerne makes it clear that every meter of elevation is worth it.
At Lütholdsmatt, not only a pretty chapel awaits but also a cozy alpine inn that offers cool drinks – hard not to stop by briefly!
Refreshed, you continue towards Denneten and Chretzen. Below the Denneten alp, a breathtaking view over Alpnach opens up, almost too beautiful to just keep riding past.
After a challenging 1000 meters of elevation gain, you reach the Alp Vordere Chretzen. And just below the pigsty begins the entry to the Chretzentrail. Initially still leisurely across fields, the path soon leads into the forest. There begins a varied single trail. The trail partly flows smoothly over forest ground and in places technically on rocky terrain. The descent into the valley thus becomes a true trail experience.
Since the trail is also appreciated by hikers, mutual consideration is especially important. It is advisable to always ride within sight, greet kindly, and be mindful on the way.
Back in Alpnach, the well-deserved reward awaits. A cool drink or a piece of cake in one of the restaurants offers a perfect finale. And the broad grin on your face is included anyway.
The tour is mostly at difficulty level S1, with individual short sections at S2 level.
With the e-MTB, the tour is an athletic evening round of around 2 hours; with the bio-bike, it becomes a leisurely half-day tour.
