Herzroute stage 8: Zug

The Herzroute takes you through the most beautiful areas of the pre-alpine Switzerland. The secluded paths far away from traffic noise and hustle and bustle are especially suitable for exploration with e-bikes. Thus, the route offers a hearty encounter with the landscape and people.

You start the ride in the romantic old town of Zug and ride through charming landscapes to Unterägeri. Far above Lake Ägeri, you have an impressive view of the mountains. The route continues to the Rothenthurm raised bog. The "Chatzenstrick" crossing is a highlight and brings you to the stage destination Einsiedeln.

Directions & Parking facilities

Take the exit "Zug/Baar" on the A4a from Lucerne or Zurich.

It is recommended to park in one of the parking garages in the city of Zug; parking fees apply. Signage boards at traffic junctions show the number of free parking spaces and the way to the parking garages.

Arriving in Zug by train is especially appealing since you arrive directly in the heart of the city.
