The Herzroute leads from the splendid monastery village of Einsiedeln to the equally special Rothenthurm raised bog. In this rare landscape, there is an ecological idyll of national importance. Shortly afterwards, you find yourself far above Lake Ägeri, which lies far below the route in turquoise splendor. The mountains behind complete the kitsch, and you almost have to get off to avoid losing control of the vehicle. After a visit to Unterägeri and its famous confectioneries, there is another section with a great view, including a glide flight 500m down to the noble small town of Zug. Â

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
- A small detour to the monastery and Gubel viewpoint is worthwhile. The power place has a wonderful aura. Â
