The cross-country skiing trail from Langis to Lochalp takes you into the pristine winter landscape of the Grossschlierental and offers a unique natural experience in one of the most beautiful regions of Obwalden.

The starting point of the trail is located directly next to the Langis parking lot, from where the route gently ascends through the Grossschlierental. The route runs straight for long stretches and leads you through a protected moorland, which exudes a mystical atmosphere in winter. The snowy, open areas offer impressive panoramas as the trail winds through the quiet landscape.

After the moorland, the route enters a peaceful forest area. Here you can experience the tranquil silence of the forest, interrupted only by the gentle gliding of your skis over the snow. The snow-covered trees and the fresh, clear air make this section of the route particularly appealing. The well-prepared trail offers optimal conditions for a relaxed and enjoyable cross-country skiing experience.

The route finally ends at the idyllically located Lochalp, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Whether for a sporty training session or a leisurely route – this trail offers a harmonious combination of exercise, nature, and relaxation. It is a hidden gem for all who seek peace and authentic nature away from the hustle and bustle.
