The route starts at the Oberalp Pass. From there, it goes into the Maighel Valley and up to the Maighel Hut. Then it continues to the Lolen Pass and down into the Unteralp Valley all the way to Andermatt.

From the Oberalp Pass, the beautiful path surrounded by lovely meadows, rocks, and stunning views gently descends into the Maighel Valley and then ascends to the Maighel Hut. From there, a slightly ascending path continues to the Lolen Pass. A clear mountain lake invites you to take a break and jump into the refreshing water. Along the way, you enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain range. The descent then goes over alpine meadows and countless hairpin bends down to the gravel road in the Unteralp Valley. On a wide path lined with alpine flowers, you then follow the Unteralp road towards Andermatt.

The Lolen Pass is a pure delight surrounded by diverse nature. The stream, which at first is just a trickle, gains more water and forms mossy areas and small ponds.
