Directions

The tour begins at the historic inn where the Sonderbund was once founded. After a hearty pizza and a beer, the trail leads through the vast plains of Ruswil up to the Schübelberg.

Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by lush meadows and numerous cows—no coincidence, since Ruswil has the largest cattle population in Switzerland. Once you reach the top, a magnificent view awaits you, stretching from Mount Pilatus to Entlebuch.

You’ll then hike down to the hamlet of Buholz, where refreshments await you. A special highlight follows at the Landig hill: at the earthen cooler, you can enjoy a cold beer surrounded by nature.

The final section leads downhill to Wolhusen. To round off the tour, the team from Rössli ess-kultur will treat you to a delicious raclette and a perfect beer at the Fire Tower.
