Green, lush flower meadows, fascinating wildlife, an emerald shimmering mountain lake up to 23°C warm, and a fantastic view of the mountain world characterize the small village of Lungern.

One of the most beautiful bike routes is the circuit around the lake, which is both leisurely and fascinating.
The starting point is in Obsee, right at the valley station of the Lungern-Turren-Bahn, where the famous underground shooting center Brünig Indoor is also located. In the months of June and July, over 100 butterfly species can be observed in the nature paradise of Brünig-West.
After Kaiserstuhl and Bürglen, the route passes the "Dundelbach" waterfall. A short detour is worthwhile to see this unique two-stage waterfall. It has national protection status.
