At the beginning, the Muota, the wild stream that gave the valley and village their name, accompanies us. Along the dam, there is also a quarry where marble was mined in the 70s and 80s of the last century. Today, only the excavation site and a crane still recall this. We leave the dam and walk over a spring area that is a bit swampy in summer. In winter, the springs, fountains, and brooks testify to the underground water. Those who want can now make a detour to the Husky Lodge, home to 30 sled dogs. Or follow the route and take a wide loop back. Behind the hydroelectric power station, the earth suddenly seems to tremble. But it is only the vibration of the water thundering under pressure in a pipe to the power station. The ascent ends at Fugglen, the highest point of the route, where you can enjoy a view of the entire village and the Heubrig mountain range. The longest and only slope for skiing down brings you back to the starting point. The route is signposted and also a pleasure in the opposite direction.
