- Start: Seelisberg
- Destination: Emmetten
For private cars, there are parking options in Emmetten or in Oberdorf Seelisberg in the forest on the right. From there, the path leads towards Bauen to the Beroldingen castle. Then you climb up to the Weid farmstead, to which a cable car also runs, shortening the route by about 1 1/4 hours. Further to Alp Laueli, then through the large gorge in the east face of the mountain: over stairs, ladders and a steep grassy gully you reach flat terrain below the summit. With some luck, you can observe the ibex from close by there. A magnificent view downwards rewards the effort of the ascent. There are hardly any mountains with a more beautiful view of Lake Lucerne. The descent takes place via Alp-Tritt. From there, the path leads over the flat west side of Niederbauen to the mountain station of the Emmetten-Niederbauen aerial cableway. It brings you comfortably down to the valley to Emmetten.

Safety guidelines
The section of the path between Laueli and Kulm is steep, narrow and winding, and secured with climbing ladders and wire cables. It requires some stamina, sure-footedness and a certain head for heights. With good hiking equipment, it is passable without further climbing skills. Going downhill, it is rather difficult to walk.
