"The Simple One": Choltal Hohberg Niederbauen
The hike starts at the valley station of the Niederbauen aerial cableway. Initially, the path leads towards Choltal, where it joins Choltalstrasse. At Kohlrüti, follow the path to the left and cross the Chohltalbach. The further route follows along a gravel road, past Hohberg and Schönenbüel, up to Alp Unterst-Hütte. There, there is the option to either ascend left towards Alp-Frutt up to the mountain station or keep right and take the gravel path to the Niederbauen mountain station via Steckenbodenmatt and Höllloch.
