This route starts in Unterägeri and takes you to the highest point of the Canton of Zug – the Wildspitz. The first kilometers along Lake Ägeri serve as a warm-up before the ascent over Sattel begins. With about 900 vertical meters, the route is challenging but rewarding. Once at the top, you are rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view over Central Switzerland. The descent via single trails towards Urzelenboden offers pure riding pleasure – flowing, not too steep, and manageable for experienced riders. When wet, it can become slippery. A perfect route for those who want to combine nature, views, and trail fun.

Directions
The route starts in Unterägeri and initially follows along Lake Ägeri towards Morgarten. After a short climb, you reach Sattel, from where the main ascent to Wildspitz begins. The route runs over forest and gravel paths with some steeper sections. Once at the top, you can enjoy the view before the descent begins over single trails towards Urzelenboden. The return path finally leads you back to Unterägeri.

Directions & Parking facilities
By car, you reach Unterägeri via the A4/A14, exit Baar/Zug, then via Zug and Oberägeri into the Ägerital. The route is well signposted – just follow Lake Ägeri.
Paid parking spaces directly on the lake shore in Unterägeri, e.g. at the beach bath or at the mini golf course. Starting early pays off – the spots fill up quickly in good weather.
Unterägeri is easily accessible by train and bus: From Zurich or Lucerne via train (city) and then by bus no. 601 to “Unterägeri, Zentrum.” From there it’s just a short ride to the starting point at the lake.
