The winter hiking trail between Andermatt and Realp allows you to explore the entire Ursern Valley on foot.

The winter hiking trail Andermatt - Realp starts at the same location as the circular route Andermatt - Marcht. At the beginning, the route is also identical. But instead of taking the path back to Andermatt at Marcht, winter hikers continue towards Hospental and Realp. From Marcht, the path continues on the same side of the Reuss, past Hospental with the historic tower. At the Richleren-Stalls, a bench invites you to rest; from here you have a wide view over the Ursern Valley. At Zumdorf, the path crosses to the other side of the Reuss. A stop in the smallest village in Switzerland is worthwhile: it is a small gem, and in the restaurant you can warm up and refresh yourself. From Zumdorf, it continues along the Reuss riverbank to Realp – passing the Mitschen Tunnel and the biathlon training center. At the foot of the Furka, you can see Realp and a bit further back the station of the Furka Steam Railway. From Realp, you can take the train back to Andermatt.
